Job Title: Dining Room Shift Lead

Job Location: Holy Family Passionist Retreat Center, West Hartford, CT

Position Type: Part-Time, Year-Round - Morning, Day, and Evening Shifts

Job Description: Holy Family Retreat and Conference Center in West Hartford has immediate openings for Banquets – Shift Lead for their dining room. Previous banquet experience is necessary; additional training provided.

Leads must be able to multitask, work quickly, act responsibly, anticipate the guest's needs while providing exceptional customer service in a courteous and professional manner. Shift leads are ultimately responsible for overseeing staff on the floor and activities in the dining room, including but not limited to:

• Set up the dining room prior to a meal, and do prep work to prepare for service

• Participate in the continuous cleaning and upkeep of the dining room during service

• Work cooperatively with the chef and kitchen staff

• Must be able to:

• lift and/or move up to 20 pounds

• communicate effectively with guests and co-workers

• must be willing to work a flexible schedule that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays

• good oral and written communication skills

• ability to maintain a pleasant, positive, and helpful demeanor, and a neat, clean, and professional appearance

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Shifts are available on any day of the week, including weekends.

Reliable transportation required.
