Dining Room Server

Job Title: Dining Room Server

Job Location: Holy Family Passionist Retreat Center, West Hartford, CT

Position Type: Part-Time, Year-Round - Morning, Day, and Evening Shifts

Job Description: Holy Family Retreat and Conference Center in West Hartford has immediate openings for banquet servers for the dining room. Experience preferred but not required; training provided.

Servers are responsible for setting up the dining room, maintaining the buffet line, and cleaning up during and after the meals. Servers must be able to multitask, work quickly, and anticipate the guests' needs while providing exceptional customer service in a courteous and professional manner.

Server responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Set up the dining room before a meal and do prep work for service, per the dining room manager and/or shift captain.

• Participate in the continuous cleaning and upkeep of the dining room during service.

• Work cooperatively with the chef and kitchen staff.

• Perform all assigned side-work duties.

Server qualifications include, but are not limited to:

• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and co-workers.

• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Good oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to maintain a pleasant, positive, and helpful demeanor, and a neat, clean, and professional appearance.

• Preform other duties as assigned.

Shifts are available on any day of the week, including weekends.

Reliable transportation required.
